The spirit of my writing theory can be communicated as passing on your idea along with passing along an idea of who you are.
Biography
Who am I?
My name is Michael William Aruffo III. I am 18 years old with my birthday being March 20th. I was born in Philadelphia and lived there until I was 14 years old, now I live in Delaware county, not a huge move I know. My native language is English, though I am very much interesting in other languages. I took German in high school for about 3 years, French for 1 year, and now I'm taking Spanish in college. At one point I would say I could hold a decent conversation with a German speaker, but not speaking the language on a daily basis really lessens your skill with it. I graduated from High school in February of 2019, and I am currently enrolled in Delaware County Community College. My hobbies are really just video games and music. I don't really play video games as much anymore, so I'm pretty focused on college. Music is everything to me, I listen to a wide variety of genres. Most of my music comes from Tv/Movie/Video Game sound tracks, but I listen to a lot of music from regular bands or orchestras. I do enjoy reading when a story has an interesting premise and message to me. I don't have a job, as I want to focus all my energy on college. I have a dog, but I'm not some dog worshiper, so you'll never hear me talk about her. I am single and I have been for a few months now.
Who are my favorite writers and/or composers? My favorite writer is Hajime Isyama, the author/illustrator of the Attack on Titan series. It is a manga series, meaning a Japanese comic book pretty much. There is a stigma that comes with reading manga and I do believe it is deserved, as many people are obsessed with this stuff. I'm not one of those people, I just enjoy a good story. I do recommend that you read this series or watch it's television adaptation, it only gets better as it goes on.
What types of writing do I enact most often?
Mostly I only write for school projects and essays. I never really do any other types of writing.
When do I write?
I only ever write when I am required to. (usually at the last second as well)
Where do I write?
I write at home, in my room, on my computer. As much as I would like to go and travel everywhere, some things I really don't feel comfortable doing outside my home. Other than restaurants, I only eat in my own home, and writing is the same way.
Why do I write?
I write usually for a specific purpose. If it's school writing, I do it for the grade. If it's something different, it's to convey a specific message I want people to hear.
How have my past experiences shaped my author identity and how can I reshape my author identity in this course?
My past experiences have made my author identity nothing more than a system to make my essays sound more sophisticated to make teachers like my essay more. Hopefully this course will allow me to focus on getting my messages across.
